41 years of Werrington Scout and Guide Carnival
The Carnival is organised by the Carnival Committee to raise money for the upkeep of the scout and guide headquarters for the year.

Thurmaston Scout and Guide Marching Band   www.tmbrass.org

Thurmaston Scout & Guide Band/Thurmaston Marching Brass has been together for many years!

We take part in many events such as Carnivals, Parades, Concerts & Competitions. We have performed in the Birmingham Tattoo, which everyone enjoyed and we all thought it was AMAZIN! We also took part in the London Lord Mayors Parade as a mass band (one big band made of other bands) This was on TV covered by the BBC. We also take trips to different countries such as France and we may even be visiting Germany this year! EXCITING STUFF!

The Long Eaton Militaires    www.longeatonmilitaires.co.uk/

The Long Eaton Militaires Carnival Band have been entertaining the public since 1971. With their colourful uniforms and modern, upbeat musical arrangments, they have become well known both nationally and internationally, as well as having performed in front of royalty.

Their biggest success in the last 40 years has been twinning with the Voll Freud German Band (www.voellfreud.de), and as a result, have become well known in the Essen, Koln and Dusseldorf area of Germany, performing with groups from Holland, Bulgaria, Turkey and France.

If anyone can offer help in any way, whether it be offers of lorries, equipment, raffle prizes or donations, or if you would like to become involved, the committee would welcome additional help and ideas.

You are invited to be part of Werrington's 41st Carnival on Saturday 26th June 2010.
The dedicated free working Carnival Crew together with the Werrington and surrounding Communities, which makes this event great, look forward to seeing you this year at your annual Werrington Carnival.
